Welcome to
Tenuta Carretta
25 years have passed since my father, driven by passion and foresight, decided to take over Tenuta Carretta.
A beautiful farmstead, historic residence of noble families, surrounded by rolling,
vine-covered hillsides in the heart of a land with a centuries-old winegrowing tradition.
It is a great honour to carry on this tradition according to the values that have made our land a great winegrowing area, while still paying special attention to progress and technical innovation.
I am delighted to be able to share a “web tasting” of Tenuta Carretta with you, and look forward to welcoming you here one day to enjoy a glass of our wine together.
History
The name Carretta derives from the word “car”, which means stone, so it came naturally to give the name Carretta to the nearby chalk bank that surfaces a few dozen metres from the entrance to the Estate and runs east for about a kilometer.

The land
The 70 hectares that make up the estate include Tenuta Carretta in Piobesi d’Alba, a number of splendid vineyards in the terrain devoted to “Cannubi” Barolo, “Poderi Tavoleto” in S. Rocco Seno d’Elvio, “Cascina Bordino” in Treiso.
