Barbaresco "Bordino" Docg

The Bordino vineyard owes its name to the farmhouse that overlooked the vineyards in Treiso with their breathtakingly steep slopes. Owned entirely by Tenuta Carretta, the cru is the source of extraordinary wines.

Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo

Yield per hectare: 70 ql.

Refining: minimum 24 months, of which at least 12 in small oak casks and not less than 6 months in bottle. The wine is not ready to drink before the spring of the third year after the harvest

Colour: garnet red with orange highlights

Bouquet: ample, intense, ripe fruit and chocolate

Taste: austere with soft, complex tannins. Great structure and personality

Pairing: red meats, stews, game, mature cheeses
